Description

quite different from Japanese Cabbage Rolls! but so yummy!

材料

1
middium sized cabbage
1.5cup(1cup=250ml)
short grain white rice
1
middium onion, finely chopped
4~5
slices of bacon,chopped small
1can
Campbell's Tomato Soup
1/2 cup
water to add in the tomato soup
salt and pepper to taste
3/4cup
butter (in TOTAL)

作り方

    Cut out the cabbage core and put in a pot of boiling water.

    Core side down. Cover+let stand until leaves wilt.(15mins+)

    Gently separate the leaves using a knife. let cool for a bit

    Cut leaves to desired size discarding canter ribs.

    Pour boiling water to 1.5cm above rice, cover+boil@med heat.

    boil until all the water is gone. Do not stair!

    Fry onion+bacon. To partly cooked rice, add butter+seasoning

    also add the 1/2of fried onion and bacon into the rice

    Line big leaves on the bottom of a roaster

    take a spoonful of rice mixture+roll up+ put in the roaster.

    Over each layer,spoon 1/2 of onion,butter,bacon+salt/pepper

    Over top layer,pour on mixture of water+tomato soup.

    Line top layer of cabbage rolls with left over leaves+cover.

    Bake at 350F for 45min to 1hour until the leaves are tender.

コツ・ポイント

Make sure to boil the cabbage leaves until they are tender. this will cut down the baking time. no need to roll perfect!
