Description

Frozen daikon radish can used in a variety of dishes.

材料 (1 daikon radish )

Daikon
1-2
Water
for blanching and soaking
Ziplock or air tight container
as much as you need

    Wash Daikon (any kinds of radishes) well with baking soda.

    Make sure to scrub all dirts and impurities.

    Then cut daikon into small sizes or slice thinly.

    Cutting the daikon into various sizes

    will make it easier to use later.

    Soak cut daikon into water to remove the bitterness.

    Or you can boil them for 2-3 mins and then plunge in water.

    Drain the water as much as possible in the colander.

    Place in freezer zipper bags or air tight container.

    Seal and freeze. Can be stored in fridge for about 1 month.

When I find fresh daikon radish at Safeway or an Asian supermarket, I use the whole radish in a variety of dishes (^^)/

大根・ラデッシュは皮を剥いて切ってから、
水にしばらく浸水させて(もしくは2、3分だけ茹でて冷水にさらす)冷凍しておきます。
